Topics in Pickling

When most of us think of pickles, a half-sour or a bread-and-butter pickle might come to mind. But pickles are so much more than that. Some bars have jars of pickled eggs or pickled pig’s feet. There are also Asian style quick pickles, sauerkraut, and Indian chutneys, all of which we’ll discuss at this site.

Pickling is just one form of preserving food. There are three major ways to pickle: salt brine, vinegar-base, and fermentation. Here at the K-Town Pickle Works, we mostly do salt brine and vinegar based.
